Montonio to Use Episode Six as Open Banking Partner

Montonio and Episode Six have announced a new partnership to “bolster its open banking offering” in the Nordic region.

Montonio is an e-commerce enabler providing payment links, card payments, automatic shipping label printing, and installment solutions. By incorporating Episode Six’s service, Montonio expects to reduce the cost of payments and dramatically reduce payment times.

Episode Six’s platform will enable Montonio to effect chargebacks automatically and efficiently for any problematic transaction. The company states that fraud becomes “a non-issue as account-to-account payments relies on the banks’ own security.”

Kristofer Turmen, co-founder and CTO at Montonio, said they’re constantly looking to provide their merchants with a better payment experience, and the partnership means they will be able to do just that.

John Mitchell, CEO and Co-Founder of Episode Six, said the partnership is a key milestone for Episode Six:

“…as we’re marking our expansion into the Nordics, a highly progressive region for payments. We’re looking forward to working with a brand such as Montonio, and excited for this partnership to flourish.”
